Plainfield School District 202 is distributing a new community survey as part of its ongoing process to gather input and inform long-term planning. Survey postcards are expected to arrive in select mailboxes around April 3.
The survey continues the District’s year-long community listening and planning efforts. Most recently, the District hosted a strategic engagement session in January, where discussions focused on student outcomes, adjusted boundaries, facility and infrastructure needs and the impact of reduced state funding. Those conversations helped shape this next phase of community input.
Selected households will receive a postcard from the District’s partner, aQity, with a secure PIN and website link to access a private, anonymous survey. The survey may also be completed by phone or on paper and will remain open for approximately one month.
“This survey is an important next step in our planning process because it gives us more specific feedback about the priorities and considerations that matter most to our community,” said Dr. Glenn Wood, Superintendent of Schools. “That input will help the District and Board of Education better understand how residents see future needs and planning options.”
Survey feedback will be reviewed as part of the District’s broader planning efforts as it continues to assess aging infrastructure, reduced state funding, and other current and future needs.
“Community feedback will help the Board as we continue reviewing long-term needs and considering future priorities,” said Board President Rod Westfall. “We encourage residents who receive the survey to take part so we have a broad range of perspectives to consider.”
Residents who do not receive a survey may have other opportunities to provide input as the process continues. If you misplace your survey information, please call 847-424-4171, ext. 218 or email aqity@aqityresearch.com for assistance.
