District 202 is hosting a free Back to School Fair featuring more than 60 family resource vendors, food trucks, free haircuts, and health services.
The fair is from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, August 1, at Plainfield High School-Central Campus, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive.
The free event is open to parents or guardians of children ages 3 to 22. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations for the Bags of Hope backpack food program.
More than 60 area resource providers will be on site to discuss their services for families in areas including tutoring, advocacy/legal, counseling, grief, recreation, family, and disability services.
Low-cost immunizations and free dental services will be available by appointment from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
