Plainfield South High School will host its 9th annual Marching Band Invitational on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the school, 7800 Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.

The event begins at 1:15 p.m. in the stadium.

Fifteen Chicago suburban and Northern Illinois high school marching bands are scheduled to compete:

  • Exhibition – 1:30 p.m.

    • Plainfield South

  • Class A – 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

    • Glenbrook North

    • Bremen

    • Bloom Township

    • Naperville North

    • Lemont

  • Class AA – 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    • Joliet West

    • Plainfield East

    • Naperville Central

    • Waubonsie Valley

    • Lockport Township

    • Victor J. Andrew

  • Class AAA – 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

    • Mahomet-Seymour

    • Downers Grove North

    • Romeoville

    • Davenport Central

The Crystal Lake Kingpins, a drumline for performers with special needs, will perform at 6:45 p.m.

The Class A/AA awards ceremony will be at 5 p.m., and the Class AAA awards ceremony will be at 7:15 p.m.

General admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens.

Parking is free. Concessions and merchandise will be sold.
