Flags will fly at half-staff until sunset on January 28, 2025 in honor of former President Jimmy Carter, who passed away Sunday. Flags were already at half-staff to honor Illinois State Police Trooper Clay Carns, who died in the line of duty on December 23. Flags are lowered for 30 days from the death of a President or former President.

Wendy Mangan, Food Service Director for Aramark at District 202, delivers socks, hats, gloves, underwear, and scarves to Christina Edwards, District 202 Director of Health Services, for the Care Closet. Aramark staff from all 31 kitchens in District 202 donated the items. The Care Closet was established earlier this year to help district families who may need items such as clothing or school supplies.
Wesmere Elementary School students decorate homemade gingerbread men cookies with principal secretary Tammy Koz as a reward. Mrs. Koz made the cookies and frosting and helped students with their creations. #202proud
